Your garage door is the largest piece of mechanical equipment in your home and has many moving parts. Most common reasons for your garage door not opening or closing properly are a cracked or broken spring, the door is out of alignment, or rollers and hinges need replacing.

There could be several causes: frayed cables, damaged rollers, spring tension or a cracked spring are often the culprits.

For safety reasons, we recommend leaving these to a trained professional.

Most panels can be replaced as long as your door is still being manufactured.

Most garage door manufacturers and installers recommend having your garage door inspected once a year, especially if you live in an area with four seasons.

Clearing sensors and lubricating the moving parts are easy fixes. To lubricate parts, apply a silicone-based lubricant to the hinges, rollers, and springs. Never use grease, as it attracts dirt and dust.

Since we live in an area with four seasons, we recommend purchasing an insulated door to keep your garage warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.

We typically can install a new residential garage door in less than a day.
